NOTE FROM THE YOUTH DIRECTOR, LISA BOWEN

Welcome to the Youth Department!  We invite and welcome all youth ages 14 and over to participate in the many youth activities we have throughout the year.  Our annual state convention is held each year in June where we elect state youth officers.  These officers conduct business meetings and create a plan for activities for the year.  Other activities include the Western Regional Youth Conference in the summertime and Teen Weekend in the spring.  These activities are open to all youth for a minimal cost.  All youth must have a parental release form to participate in these activities which is available on this website.

We do have a page in Facebook and on MySpace, so you can join us there!  Hope to see you soon!

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Persons 14 or older are entitled to full membership in their local subordinate Grange. Young people are encouraged to take an active part in all Grange activities. Each Grange has a youth committee that attempts to stimulate the interest and participation of young members.

The statewide youth committee is responsible for organizing young adult conferences, special contests and other activities specifically designed to interest younger members.

Outstanding young Grangers and outstanding young Grange couples are chosen each year at the state Grange convention held in June.

Granges sponsor and provide leaders for many other youth organizations such as 4-H clubs FFA, FHA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire.

Statewide Grange youth programs are under the direction of Lisa Bowen.

Current programs and contests include the following (complete rules are published annually each year in the Washington State Grange Program Handbook). Forms may be obtained by calling or e-mailing the following (or they are available online with the links below):
